New year's resolution

I enjoy making new year's resolutions. I feel like I won't take something as seriously if I just decide to do it randomly. There's just something about the 1st of the year that makes decisions feel official or something I guess.

4) Travel more.
3) Keep exercising.
2) Buy more organic groceries.

1) Be exclusive.
No more relationships with boys with a girlfriend on the side.
No more relationships with girls with a boyfriend on the side.

Everyone have fun tonight, and be safe!
I'm working at BM tonight so I'll be having fun, just not as much as I'd like to be having. =(

Downsides of having a brother as a roommate

As I said before, my lease is up in February, I'm living with my brother, and I'm considering asking if he wants to get a 2 bedroom apartment with me for next semester. So for the past thirty minutes or so, I was thinking of things I miss/can't do/hate about living with my brother.

These are the deal breakers:
1.) CAN'T HAVE SEX - Having friends with benefits over is soooo awkward. It's not as bad when they're girls, we can just sneak into the bedroom and he probably thinks we're just doing girly stuff or or talking, or something... However, it's super awkward because I know my brother is in the other room. If it's a guy, I have to plan for when he's at work or goes home, but I don't get the fun of spontaneity anymore.

2.) CAN'T HAVE GUYS OVER - My brother intimidates pretty much any guy I have over. Even the ones I'm not "involved" with. They'll come over to smoke, drink, study, or chill after work, and they always tell me the same thing: Nikko is hilarious and fun, but he comes off as super protective and it terrifies them.

3.) CLOTHING MANDATORY PM - I can't sleep in panties only anymore. I got used to it after my last relationship. My girlfriend never wore a shirt to bed, only panties. It made cuddling a million times better, and was more comfortable, too. So for the past few years, I've been sleeping panties only. I can't do that anymore since I have a 1 bedroom apartment and the bathroom is inside the bedroom. If Nikko needs to go in the night or wakes up before me, he has to walk through the bedroom.

4.) CLOTHING MANDATORY AM - I really miss being able to wake up in the morning, wearing only panties, walk into the kitchen, pour a bowl of cereal, sit out on the balcony (third floor, facing woods, nobody can see me) and eat breakfast as the sun rises. Obviously I can't do this with my brother around, but even if he leaves before I wake up, I'm paranoid about what would happen if he forgot something and came back home, catching me naked or close to it.

If I think of anything else, I'll add it later. For now, though, I sleep.

SECRET TIME: I'm officially a nerd

My little brother is a total sweetheart, but he just said something, and I'm not really sure, but I think I'm deeply offended.

FIRST, A LITTLE ABOUT MY BROTHER:
He's 21. His name is Nikko.

YES, I SWEAR TO GOD, our parents named us Nikki and Nikko.

In high school, our friends made up hilarious nicknames. They stuck.
I'm Nik-V and he's Nik-D.

Think about it, you'll figure it out.

I was born in October so I started school a year late since school starts in August, but he was born in July and able to start on time. So we are technically two and a half years apart (three years if you compare birth year), age-wise, but only two grade levels apart. Umm, I don't know if that makes any sense, but it made sense in my head... Whatever. It's 6:00 AM. I don't have the ability to explain that situation any clearer at the moment. Just know, when I was a senior in high school, he was a junior. Actually, he was a sophomore. I think. You know what. I'm done with this age thing. We're two grades apart. That's all you need to know.

Anyways, he was a server at the same restaurant I used to bar tend at when I lived at home. When I moved to Orlando, my brother took my old spot at the bar, and now we both do the same thing: School by day, mix drinks by night. I work at a fancy bar, which I probably shouldn't name, and he works at the bar at T.G.I. Friday's. About a year ago he wanted to transfer to UCF, but couldn't find any friends to live with. So, being the awesome sister that I am, I let him move in with me until he finds a place.

I have a one bedroom apartment so he sleeps on a twin sized air mattress behind the couch, he takes up space in my closet, on my bathroom counter, in my fridge, on my desk, and pretty much everywhere else I'm OCD about my stuff and keeping it organized. Yet, I don't make him pay rent.

Since I make more than enough to pay my bills, the increase in utilities from my brother being around, and I can still live the same as if he wasn't around, I don't charge him. Plus, he's my little brother! I can't do that. Even though he constantly offer to pay his way, I always refuse to accept his money. So instead, he does the sweetest stuff ever for me to try and make it up. About every other week he'll either take me out somewhere like, dinner and a movie, go-kart racing, theme parks, concerts, Orlando Magic games, or other stuff like that.

Now that I think about it, I'm usually the hard one to live with. He's been putting up with my crap for nearly a year without a single complaint. Except for the lack of privacy, I can't really complain... He's pretty easy to live with. Every time he uses a dish, he'll wash everything else in the sink, he takes out the trash, he'll move my laundry from the washer to the dryer if I forget, he keeps his stuff pretty well organized and everything clean, he goes to bed before I do, he doesn't complain when I stay up late, make noise, or have friends over, and he even calls and asks permission before he has any friends over. You know... Everything that the perfect roommate would do.

SO, BACK TO MY ORIGINAL REASON FOR POSTING!
It's about 6:30 AM and my little brother just walked through the bedroom to access the bathroom. On his way out, he stopped half way to the door, and this is how the conversation went down:

Nikko: "What are you still up doing for this late?"
Me: "I'm playing The Old Republic, sup?"
Nikko: "Dude, V, you're such a nerd. Go to bed and go outside during the day or some shit!"

He stumbled over to my bed, flopped down on it and sat there and watched me play SW:ToR for about 5 minutes before he fell asleep.

I've been sitting here for nearly an hour, typing this out, alt-tabbing to play Star Wars, listening to music, talking in Vent, all the while, thinking about what he said and what he meant by it. I'm going from "Oh, he's just teasing, and being silly" to "He really thinks I have no life and need to get out more often," and I think I almost wanted to cry about 10 minutes after he said it. I didn't.

Also, for those of you who don't know what Star Wars: The Old Republic is, here's a 15 or so minute long compilation of the trailers in order:

None of my real-life friends find out about this, not even my brother, until he moved in, but I'm a HUGE closet Star Wars Nerd. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. I probably don't come close to some of the hardcore fans. True, but compared to other "normal" girls, I'm definitely from a galaxy far, far away.

I even play WoW, if you couldn't already tell from the previous few posts. I'm a Tauren feral druid (hurrr, girls can't tank) in a server first guild. I kinda quit about a month ago and told my guild that I was quitting because my work schedule changed, but I'm actually just playing Star Wars instead. Hopefully none of them find this! Hahaha!

SIDE NOTE:
The entire time I was writing this, I've been wondering how to ask my brother if he wants to get a 2 bedroom apartment with me. My lease is up in February, and he's been talking about moving in with his friends, but I'm really going to miss him. It feels like he's moving far away and I'll only see him once every few months or something, when in reality, he'll probably end up within a mile of where we are now.

Ugh, he really is awesome to live with.
He just needs to get off my bed within the next ten minutes or I'm gonna have to sleep on the couch.

Game of Thrones season 2 trailer!

Yesss!
I <3 Game of Thrones!

If you haven't seen season one of like the most awesome show on TV, then you obviously live under a rock or something. You need to fix that by getting a TV under your rock and HBO, because winter is coming!

Here's the season 2 "Cold Winds" teaser trailer:

The only other thing that has been this exciting was the "Batman: Dark Knight Rises" trailer when I went to see "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo," last evening.

Also, if you're awesome like me, you can watch this on the go with HBOGO or whatever the app is called. You're going to need it because winter is coming, etc., and you don't want to be caught in the snow (Read: Stuck at work in Florida) without the ability to watch this show!

Here's the link to the app: http://www.hbogo.com/

WELCOME TO FLORIDA: There's a 13-foot python in your pool

In Palmetto Bay, Florida, a 13-foot Burmese python jumped into some poor family's swimming pool. They called 911 (because this is totally an emergency, right?) and the police/wildlife protection didn't even show up, but a production company did! LOL!

Removal attempt 1:
Crew member tried to grab the snake.
Snake was like, "No!" and continued swimming about.

Removal attempt 2:
Crew member grabbed the snake and pulled it a few feet out of the water.
Snake was like, "No!" and jumped back into the pool and continued swimming about.

Removal attempt 3:
Several crew members grabbed the snake and pulled it out of the water.
Snake was like, "Hey! Put me back." :(

They released the python at a farm in Homestead, FL.
GREAT.
That's where my parents live.
Never going swimming back home again.
I'd probably go paralytic on the spot and drown if I saw a snake swimming in the pool with me.

Bloodlegion: World 3rd, US 1st 25M Heroic Madness of Deathwing

Heroic: Madness of Deathwing US 1st / World 3rd 25man Kill

POV's provided by:
Affinitii - Disc Priest

Edited by: Affinitii

Another raid tier down, another dragon vanquished, another triumph of good over the powers of chaos and madness for Blood Legion ! We have at last completed progression in the Dragon Soul, the final major raid tier of the Cataclysm expansion. The tier itself was appropriately exciting for us, bringing its fair share of drama, excitement, and triumphs, culminating in victory over Deathwing and a most satisfying end to a successful expansion.

Following Blood Legion's extensive preparation leading up to the tier, we leaped headfirst into the new content without a moment's pause. Our raiders were prepared to push themselves harder than ever before, with 10- and 12-hour raid days quickly becoming the norm over the course of our three-week-long heroic progression cycle. Ultimately, our commitment and hard work paid off, meriting us a World 3rd, US 1st 25-man ranking, the best finish that the guild has seen in any tier of content in its long and illustrious history. I want to send a heartfelt thanks to all of my fellow raiders for the innumerable sacrifices that they have made over the past few weeks. From the long raid hours to the insane class-stacking effort and countless wipes on Spine to doing the majority of Madness progression over Christmas, you have all put forth world-class effort, and we could not have achieved what we did this tier without the tenacity and determination of each and every one of you. I would also like to thank our competitors in other guilds for pushing us to stay at the top of our game and not grow complacent with early successes ; if our strong finish is at all satisfying, it is because of the many other prodigiously skilled guilds in contention for each kill. A big congratulations to KIN Raiders for their top kill on Deathwing and first-ever World 1st finish.

Now that Deathwing has been bested and the future of Azeroth secured for the time being, we look foward to some much-deserved R&R before venturing to the lost isle of Pandaria, where surely even bigger adventures and more dangerous foes await...

KIN Raiders: World 1st 25M Heroic Madness of Deathwing

KIN Raiders Vs Madness of Death Wing World First Kill (25Man Heroic)

Now that Stars has defeated Heroic Madness of Deathwing 25, KIN Raiders has released their video of the kill.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!

STARS: World 2nd 25M Heroic Madness of Deathwing

This is a preview of the last tendon going down. It's a five minute long phase three and a mess of bloods that you won't see anywhere else.

If your guild is still struggling with this, you don't need a stacked group of mages/rogues/whatever, you just need to be coordinated and it's possible. Even if you don't have enough dps to burn with Bloodlust/Heroism, it can be done. However, you're gonna need a fast computer to handle all the bloods once they start stacking up!

When STARS releases the full version later on, i'll post it up!
Check back soon for the update!

Ampharos

Check out one of my besties, Ampharos! <33
He's been trying to get his music to work for a while now, mostly uploading samples of dubstep, trance, house, etc sets and beats, but he finally has a complete song uploaded to soundcloud. It sounds pretty legit. He uploaded it yesterday, but it's already on my iPod and on full blast whenever I drive around town!

I love this beat!

New blog, Nikki? Yep! =)

Heya!
Welcome to my awesome blog!

This is my first TRUE blog, however, it's not my first time sharing on the internet. I have used LiveJournal for the past 8 years now, and Tumblr for nearly 2 years. I left both about a month ago and thought I was done with blogging. I was wrong. I had an urge to write, post, or share just about anything every morning before work. It went on for weeks, like a nicotine addiction, but for blogging and oversharing. So, here I am, with a Blogger, getting my fix.

A little about my (now deleted) Tumblr:
I used to log in about once a week and only for about an hour. Just long enough for me to set up a queue that would last through the week. It was just about 100 images or so that were funny, exciting, kinky, or thought provoking. Pretty much a visual representation of what my brain thinks is captivating or sexy at quick glance. One day I realized how boring it was to log in once a week just to create a queue and try to avoid creepy followers. So I quit.

A little about my (friends only) LiveJournal:
I started this in sophomore year of high school. It was extremely detailed and thoroughly updated. I wrote about 5000 words a week, and I had no idea that it was visible to the entire school. However, as soon as word got out that a cheerleader was writing the thickest, most drama packed, tell-all novel on the planet, I found out the hard way. A copy of my LJ made it's way to the assistant dean's desk and I wasn't allowed to use school computers for the rest of my time in high school. That was fun.

Anyways, this will be very different from my Tumblr and LiveJournal days. It'll be mostly just me posting about things I can't stand, things I dislike, things I enjoy, and most importantly, things I love or can't live without.

I may get a little personal every now and again, but I promise that I'll do my best to keep it light and refreshing!
